I finally baught a car. Now I can save my money. Yeah, right. Capitalism sucks at times. You need money for anything. You need it for Bills, Pleasures; even Blessings require money from somewhere.But anyway, it's a 1995 Chevy Beretta. V6. Auto. Grey. 123k milage. The guy wanted 2k for it, then said $1750, but i got him to go for $1600 cash then-and-there. It has minor eye sores on the body and interior. Like tiny rust spots, a cracked and warped dash, and a small tear in a seat. But it runs great. The oil was a bit old when I checked it but that's because it had sat there for awhile. After some TLC it should be fine. The one big thing i don't like though is that I can't pull the seat forward. The sliding track is rusted severly.

Something makes me thinkI have bad luck with vehicles. It's probably from the incident with the motorcycle. I bought it and thought it was fine, but then it broke. God, please let this car be a good one. I did my very best to make sure it would be ok.

Saturday night I played in a free poker tourney of about twenty people. They have it at a pizzeria in Atlanta. Anyway, it was a fun night. I got second place. Walker called me at the start of a hand and I hold him I had to call him back. During that hand I knocked out two short stacks at the table. I had pocket nines against their pocket threes and pocket fours. I eventually knocked out a couple of other people with some good hands, great calls, and one ballzy all-in. I'll describe the all-in situation. (Walker's heard all this already. Sorry I don't have anything else to share Walks.) So, I had pocket jacks on the big-blind. I raised the pot when the option came to me. This girl next to me called me a jerk because of it, and then raised after the flop (3, Q, 8 of misc. suites). I didn't want anyone to catch and I also knew this girl had nothing and that she raised out of spite, so I went all-in. As expected the pissed off girl folded. But her friend called me. I cringed as she flipped over pocket eights. So, it was her trip eights to my pocket jacks. But a jack came up on the turn, giving me the pot, and knocking her out of the tourney. I was the chip leader for awhile too. My food was picked by the pizzeria and I won $15 for placing second. Oh yeah, they gave us some free beer too. Last night was fun.

Prayer request: I need a vehicle and am having difficulty finding the right one. I ask for your help in praying that God will provide and that I won't get impatient. I am finding it difficult to wait for God's timing.

It's weird, people other than my friends are viewing my blog. They are leaving comments too. They like it, as if it's becoming popular. Has my blog contracted an S.T.D. (Socially Transmitted Disease) ??

Wow! Ir's been in the upper sixties and low seventies in Atlanta. I went to the park over the weekend. I saw people playing golf in shorts and t-shirts, In JANUARY!!!

Mark and I were going to see a movie but I don't think we'll have enough time to make it back for our other plans. Which is to get some Thia food with the rest of my roommates, along with Rose and Juliet (their other roomies during mission year last..year). Tommorow night should be fun. Ryan and I are going to that pizza joint to play poker again. This time I hope to do better. And I'll buy food too since it's free poker. And if I get third or better there's a payout (3rd-$10, 2nd-$20, 1st-$30).

Sorry folks. It's been awhile. Life's been a blur lately. But in a wierd twist of fate I was able to blog today. Unfortunately I have this luxury because I am not working today. Why? Good question! I overslept and was going to be really late to work so my boss said, "Don't come in!". The ironic thing is that I went to bed ealry last night, and I mean waaay ealry. I was in bed by 7pm reading a book (Eragon). I fell asleep by 9pm. My alarm was set to the right time, it did go off, I did wake up and turn it off...and I did fall back asleep for another hour. Another ironic thing is (yes, there can be two ironic things concerning the same subject) if I had a car it would have been the perfect time to wake up and still get to work, alittle early even. But I rely on M.A.T.A. or "Metropolitan Atlanta Transit Authority". Actually, it's technically M.A.R.T.A. but I take out the "R" in the acronym because it stands for "Rapid". And they're definatley not Rapid.

There are two bigs things going on. The first thing is I need a car and soon. I hope to have on by the end of the month. The next thing is that our apartment was sold to a different investor. They are letting us stay but the are nearly doubling our rent. My roommates and I do not like that one bit. So we are hoping to find another place to live by the end of the month. See, I knew there was a reason I didn't buy any furniture. I'm glad I bought an air mattress too. Now it'll be easier to move all my stuff. I never really unpacked. My heart's desire is to move in with different people. But I think these are the only guys I could live with. Being on my own would be too expensive. Pray for these things with me.
